OUR BODIES SPEAK OUR MINDS Your body is the wisest asset you have. Far greater than the mind, your body contains the wisdom it needs to live a life of balance and harmony. Beneath the 'drama' of health challenges, life-issues, relationship problems and stressful life circumstances, lies a wealth of wisdom that can guide you from the inside out to growth and transformation. By helping you to connect with the messages of your body we can glean the valuable insights and instructions you need to surmount challenges and step into the person your life is asking you to become.
The body stores the unprocessed experiences of all events and is ready to guide us to healing our lives from the inside out.
Releasing the past, honouring our needs, taking care of ourself, healing hurts, finding forgiveness, realigning our thoughts, actions, behaviours and hearts with our deep inner truth... along with deep relaxation and mindfulness of our inner state of being these are essential ingredients to living a whole, balanced, peace-filled, loving, fulfilling life. However they are not things we are readily taught as we grow up into the world. Without knowing how to process our physical, emotional and mental pains and patterns through the body we can unconsciously contribute to disease and inflammatory states of being. Physical, emotional and mental tension causes restriction and an imbalancing of the body's natural ability to keep itself in homeostasis which can lead to a whole host of 'diseases' and conditions that many of us spend our lives trying to combat without really going to source of their creation. When the body and mind are relaxed and in harmony all systems can function as they need to.
Inner wisdom is our greatest medicine Before, during or after each session we discuss the issues that are presenting and look at the guidance that is trying to be received through the body relating to these. We store our emotions and unprocessed life experiences in different parts of the body and also within the different fields of our being (physical, mental, emotional, spiritual).
My belief shares the Eastern view that emotions get stored in the body waiting to be released (for example anger goes in the liver, sadness in the heart and lungs, fear of moving forward in the hips, knees and feet etc). Through body/mind connection techniques I help guide you to decode the body's messages for growth and healing and transformation from the inside you. You are not passive in healing sessions. In fact taking responsibility for your healing is a big part of the healing itself.
The integrative healing session Through a range of healing modalities including Healing Touch, emotional release work, inner visualisation, 'body talk' dialogue, the use of essential oils and other holistic mind/body coaching methods I work with individuals in need of deep healing and release. Together we work to reconnect with the inner self, let go of the past, align our minds with our hearts and spirit, and bring peace, clarity, tranquility and ease back to our mind and body (and life itself!). Sessions last between 1-2hrs and the client remains fully clothed at all times. Part of the session will involve dialogue and part will involve deeply relaxing and gentle touch.
A Healing Touch session is deeply relaxing and usually leaves the client feeling extremely tranquil, peaceful, refreshed and noticeably lighter. The body's natural ability to heal itself and regain balance is then restored. Regular sessions can change the total state of one's physical, mental, emotional and indeed spiritual life.
